Game Over?

I saw this autonomous cleaner today and realized it is the perfect symbol of the invisible makeover currently underway in our workforce. The mandate for modern business is clear: reduce friction and increase margin. Right now, that looks like a robot scrubbing floors. Tomorrow, it looks like software handling your reports, your designs, or your strategy.

We often think our own jobs are safe from this calculation, but are they? If the powers that be can find a way to automate your output, they will. The plan is likely already being drafted while the tech catches up. We are inventing a world focused on efficiency at all costs, but we need to pause and ask what we are sacrificing to get there.
