Opening Tonight. No AI!

Tonight is the opening of The Gulf and Other Places at the Italian Cultural Institute in Abu Dhabi. I am happy to say that a selection of new images from my Night Moves series will be part of the exhibition.

Exhibition Opening: November 27, 2025 | 6:30 PM

RSVP: https://lnkd.in/dDfEVnNh

Night Moves grew out of observing the late hours when construction shifts into the dark. Once the temperatures drop, the work begins. Halogen lights cut through the black, throwing scaffolds and cranes into sharp relief. Long exposures stretch the moment, turning half-finished towers into something between drawing and documentary. A city caught in the middle of becoming.

Every time I returned to a site, something had shifted. A new line in the sky. A wall where there wasn’t one the day before. That constant emergence is part of life here, and the series tries to hold a bit of that feeling, even if only for a second.

The show opens tonight at 6:30pm and runs through December 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. by appointment.
